My Thai shark tooth! I picked up this small shark tooth when I was in Thailand in one of the beach shops, whilst I was there at New Year and popped it on my Cos chain. Not quite as large as the Givenchy tooth necklace!

As Valentines is fast approaching I have had a long time love for EVERY pair of Isabel Marant sneakers that have come out in every colour that have passed my eye!

The £465 price tag would have me saving until the bitter end when they would no longer be in existence.

One of my most recent purchases has been the above bridle leather portfolio case I love the Hermes orange esque colour and leather folding clasp.

It is infact sold as a portfolio case, but the debate is, is it unisex? Some of the guys in my office have infact bought them too, more men are carrying man clutches shall we say or the correct term is portfolio as that doesnt seem to go down well.

I personally have turned it into a clutch a la Celine 12 campaign (above).

1st post for 2012!! I can not believe it is the 16th January already! I have only just done a New Year post!

I have been away and still without internet as I have just moved house! Need to get back on the making and pick up my pliers for the 1st time in January!

I spent this new years day on an early morning flight, to Thailand Phuket for a week!

I spent a lovely week in Phuket (view from our apartment) seeing the sights and spending time on the beautiful beaches and visiting the famous markets of Patong several times! I bought some interesting finds! Was hoping to find some beads or fabrics but did not have enough time to trawl through the backstreets to find the treasures!

So 2011, was the year of my 1st stint of selling on the festival scene I was selling at The Secret Garden Party and Bestival which was a great experience and learnt alot from that. I was part of the pink tent for The Secret Emporium!

I have a project featured in the The State of Craft book now stocking in book shops published by Circada and shops spotted it today in Oliver Bonus in Clapham.

Had various market stalls across London, ending with the best and successful of all in December the Secret Emporium in Shoreditch.

So what does 2012 bring.........Goals!

I desperately want to make a structured collection of a variety of pom pom pieces.

Which will hopefully develop into a stockist in a shop!

I have a new brand logo, which needs to follow up with a new website.

Continuously need to update my Etsy shop and develop a shop on my blog site to generate some more internet sales!

Hopefully sell at more markets and fingers crossed do some more festivals this summer.

Obviously continuously making which I enjoy the most!

On Sunday the 17th December the Shoreditch Underground was full of Christmas shoppers, admiring and spending there pennies on Dot your T's products! So I hope the pom poms filled the stockings of many a happy face this Christmas 2011!

4th Christmas Fair of the season here next weekend! Saturday Of Cabbagges and Kings Abney Hall Stoke Newington!

I do not currently have a Christmas tree in my life but I really want a mini black one from Paperchase.Not the most traditional colour but with some bright pink and metallic baubles would be so pretty.

After being part of the Secret Emporium over the summer, they are holding a one off one day market in the Village Underground in Shoreditch.

I am selling at The Secret Emporium Christmas Market on Sunday 18th!

It is an all day event and goes on until 10pm so just like the festival all over again but in Christmas spirit. Double weekend markets!

They have asked each designer to create a one off decoration for there charity christmas tree auction. So look out for the snowball glitter pom pom decoration!!

An exciting day! I was never expecting anything to be bought as I am not ready, or at that level for that, they are at the top top of the luxury retail ladder but just to receive any advice and experience would be beneficial.

I started queuing at 10.45am

Wayyy at the top!

I got seen quicker than I thought at 2.45pm by two of the fashion accessories buyers, who where really friendly after seeing the hundreds of designers and still more queuing.They gave me some great advice! Whilst trying on my products,which put a smile on my face and giving me positive feedback I felt it was well worth my while to receive such experienced feedback for only a few hours of queuing!

Not all was lost as the pom pom concept was loved and they wanted me to concentrate on a specific product area to build on as a unique collection and look at clever ways to create a cleaner detail in finishing.

So there is a market for my products!

So the concept is there (the hard part over) but some serious cash investment is needed to create a sleeker look collection which costs money and some research and time is needed. So maybe this time next year the Pom Poms might be bouncing around a retail store soon!!

On Saturday the 10th of July I had a stall at Bust magazine's annual event of the summer Craftacular in Bethnal green. It was a fun and successful day, even though it was one of the hottest days of the year yet!

There were over 60 stalls of different designers show casing a variety of hand made craft products. Also there where other events going on from the famous jewellery label Tatty Devine having a colour in your own jewellery stand, swing dancing and constant Dj sets!

On Saturday the 15th May I held my first stall at Shock and Soul in Angel. A large Vintage Warehouse which holds a little market on a Saturday and a Sunday in store. Open to anyone selling anything they like.

On Friday the 15th May I went to see Florence and the Machine at the Hammersmith Apollo. It was a long wait to see her in all her magnitude, my friend Laura booked the tickets back in January.

Florence did not disapoint she put on an amazing show and sang all her classics from her album Lungs. She looked fantastic in her oversized floaty beaded kaftan which followed her around the stage as she danced around. A true performer, she asked the audience as she removed her shoes because they were hurting her feet, so now bare footed she put even more florence energy into each song.

Florence a FASHION ICON?!= Yes I do believe she has a distinctive style relevant to her personality. I have seen her twice now the first time was at Bestival and there she was wearing a bottle green and gold all in one with structured shoulders. The key pieces that she wears are over sized drapery dresses and tops and fitted all in one body suits to show off those long legs of hers.

Snake Bite Silk

Following on from my Dubai post, I am particularly looking forward to going back again, to go to the fabric shops. Which are situated in a little village called Satwra which is outside of the city centre and a harsh contrast to the bright lights. This is another side of Dubai which I enjoy too, the more traditional natural culture of the local people. There is a strip of fabric shops which is my favorite place to go. They are amazing and have a variety of coloured silks especially printed silks, which are my precious find.
The multi coloured pink silk is one of my favourites which I turned into my Snake Bite Silk reflected curved sleeve dress. There is reflective piping down the outer shoulder sleeve seams. There is lots of detail in the print and you can find different formed shapes and the acid colour palette just brings the element of summer to the luxurios silk dress. I specifically like the snake which I placed at the bottom of the dress, hence the name.

There is an amazing haberdashry shop too which excites me everytime I get the chance to walk in there, just like aladdins cave, everything you could imagine. Wall to wall with trims and buckets spilling over the floor which makes it hard not to miss something. Last time I was there I picked up a reel of paper net mesh which I trimmed the edge of my sleeves and panels of the front of my grey long sleeved zipped dress. Also some large gold stoned medallions which I turned into necklaces and some real fur (not that they need fur over there) trims in different colours, which I made into elasticated headbands. Perfect to wear over here to keep you warm and look on trend at the same time, for our bitter winters. So hopefully this trip I will be able to hunt out some interesting treasures.

On Sunday I am fortunate enough to be going to Dubai for a week (my boyfriends parents live there). I really love Dubai because you know it is always going to be hot! No really it is like visiting a whole new world, a little like some of the scenes from a Disney movie. Everything is on a large scale you can strain your neck trying to look up into the sky to to see the top of some buildings. It is a beautiful place in a different kind of way, even though everything has been man made it has been designed so precisely down to the very last detail. Making the architecture of the city a key feature.
